Hi, my name is Shani! In May 2023, I graduated summa cum laude from Vanderbilt University. I was on the pre-med track, majoring in Child Development and Medicine, Health, & Society and minoring in Biological Sciences. During my time in college, I spent three years tutoring at Vanderbilt Tutoring Services in math, biology, chemistry, and higher-level science courses. In this capacity, I would meet both with students who needed a last-second exam review session and those who wanted to meet on a more consistent basis and establish a study schedule. I also served as a Learning Assistant for introductory biology and chemistry courses, where I met with 15-40 freshman students weekly to provide emotional and academic support throughout their transition into college. I've been tutoring on Wyzant for the last 2 years.

My previous tutees have regarded me as a very kind, encouraging, and detail-oriented tutor. I've also tutored in biology for three years at our campus tutoring center and was a Learning Assistant in introductory biology during my junior year.

I also have tutored in almost all topics covered on the MCAT in the context of my college tutoring center, which also offered MCAT preparation sessions. These topics included biology, biochemistry, inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry, and physics.

Shani is great and very easy going, she helped me with a variety of basic chemistry concepts. I also liked that she is very patient, explains the reasoning behind concepts, and maximizes our time together. I definitely recommend her as a tutor.

I met with Shani to work on some biochemistry concepts for the MCAT.
