About Nader

My experience in management combined with my education on Business Administration, and Economics matched with my great understanding of math subjects, gave me unique ability to explain different topics to my students. No matter if it is math related topics such as trigonometry, statistics, pre-calculus or calculus, or business related topics such as accounting, finance, or business science, I am able to explain them clearly. I worked with many students on math subjects such as college algebra, trigonometry, multi-variable calculus, and statistics; and business subjects such as business calculus, business science, business statistics, financial and managerial accounting, finance, investment, stock market, and derivatives as well as economics topics such as microeconomics, macroeconomics, global economics, banking and finance markets.
All these topics are challenging subjects, and usually are requirements for many different majors. I highly suggest that you contact me as soon as you feel you are struggling in the course. The topics will build on each other in these courses and it is very hard to catch up if you fall behind on the topics.
I am also expert on fast paced and online courses. I am here to help, but I need to start working with you early in the course. It is very important to gather the points for the course from the start. In these kinds of courses, material always builds on each other and it is very hard to recover the previous topics and lost points. Please do not wait till you go to the “unrecoverable grade area”, and contact me as soon as you start the course. My goal is to help you get the highest grade by understanding the material and I am sure your goal is the same too. I have more than 15 years of experience in the management which gives me an advantage on explaining and solving the real life related problems. These problems are the biggest enemy of math students and their grades. Many students lose points on word problems since they have to understand the problem, analyze the situation, switch it to mathematics, use skills to solve the problem, and finally switch their outcomes back to a presentable answer or report.

Here is why you should take care of your course early:
The most important reason students get frustrated with mathematics, accounting, finance, and statistics is because they do not know how to solve the problems, which is the result of the lack of the required skills. The fact is different mathematics subjects are all related to each other. If not impossible, it is hard to pass a Calculus II course without passing Calculus I. For mathematics, you need to build your knowledge on the previous topics. However, some other subjects such as history are not like this. You can start history from any point of the time without a need to know too much about what happened before.
The same interdependence is true for each mathematics course too. It is very hard to recover mathematics courses after getting low grades in first couple of tests. There are two main reasons for that. The first reason is the lack of the required skills to proceed to the next topic. The second reason is statistical, to get better average grade, you need to earn extremely high grades which seems impossible. For example, if you got 65 and 70 in first two exams, you need to get 90 and 95 in the next two exams to get an average of 80. The fact is getting 90 and 95 in the next exams for someone who got 65 and 70 in first two exams is very hard, since the material gets harder and you do not have required skills from previous parts.

And some facts about me:
My main occupation is individual stock trader and business consultant. I love the freedom of arranging my own schedule and workload. I am graduate from University of California, Paul Merage School of Business with a degree on Business Administration as well as Economics degree from School of Social Science. My management emphasis is on finance and accounting.
Although it was not required, my love of mathematics made me to take as much as possible mathematics and statistics courses. I have more than 40 units of mathematics in my transcript all with grade A. I got my AA in mathematics from Chaffey College and I also awarded from mathematics department of Chaffey College for outstanding Calculus student. I used to work in the Chaffey College as a Supplemental Instruction Leader which helps students in algebra to get better grades. As my badge tells I have more than 2,500 hours of private tutoring just on wyzant.com and most of them are regular students, which I started to work with them from beginning of their course till the final exam day. Also, many of my students have taken more than two courses with me since I offer broad range of related topics.
My method is not just to sit with students and repeat what their instructor told them. I always walk with my students through the problems, and I explain the topic wherever they get stuck. I will not proceed to the next topic until I get the feeling that my student got the current material.
My experience in management combined with my education on Business Administration, and Economics matched with my great understanding of math subjects, gave me unique ability Read more

Test Preparation:
ACT Math,
SAT Math
Business:
Accounting, Economics,
Finance

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

ACT Math

My ACT math sessions are full of practice. I am very good on explaining math by doing the practice problems since math requires lots of practice. I also make my students feel they are in exam environment by timing their responses and trying to give them shortcuts.

Algebra 1

I am very good in explaining variables for Algebra 1 using easy to understand methods.

Algebra 2

I am expert on working with variables, graphs, functions, and applications, which compose the big part of Algebra 2. I make it easy for students to understand the topics by giving them real life related examples.

Calculus

My love of mathematics made me to study more calculus courses than it was required for my Business Administration, and Economics majors. I passed three semesters of calculus with GPA of 4.0, and got rewarded as an outstanding calculus student in Chaffey College.

Econometrics

I finished my degrees on Business Administration, and Economics. Although the requirement for my Economics major was one quarter of econometric, my personal interest made me to take three different courses in econometric.

Since the econometric is specific branch of statistics, I had limited number of econometric students. However, I did tutor lots of statistics students.

Economics

As an Economist with more than 15 years of work experience, I can explain all the concepts in a way that makes sense to students. I am expert in micro, macro, domestic, and international economics as well as Business side of the concepts.

Geometry

I am very experienced in tutoring geometry, since it is one of the topics that I get lots of requests for. I can help your kids understand the basics of the geometry with easy steps and easy examples that make sense.

Precalculus

I am an expert on pre-calculus. Pre-calclulus is harder than calculus since students have to cover broad topics from functions to trigonometry. I have worked with many students and it is one of my top requested topics.

I make pre-calculus more understandable to my students since I have a good sense of what they will need in their next math course, calculus. I work with them on graphs, functions, unit circle, and trigonometric identities to make sure they have a great foundation for calculus.

SAT Math

I have been to lots of exams as a student. However, I have been to more exams as a tutor or supplemental instructor. This experience gives me the good vision of knowing what kinds of questions are important for tests.

I start my SAT sessions by going over tests with my students and I explain whenever it seems they have difficulty doing the problem. I always make sure they understand the material before I move to the other questions.

Statistics

I am a well-equipped person for statistics, since I had to take five levels of Statistic courses for my Economics degree. I tutor from introductory Statistics up to Econometric.

Trigonometry

I love sine, cosine, tangent, and cotangent. I also like to challenge the identity problems. They are so fun. If you need help in trigonometry, I am the right person. I can help you on unit circle, solving triangles, identities, and word problems.
