Hi. In addition to an undergrad in math, I have a masters in data science (AI). I am neurodivergent— ADHD and autism. I was told my whole life I was too stupid to amount to anything. Now, I am finishing my second masters and will go for a PhD in applied math or computer science.
I lost my job recently. Unfortunately, autism discrimination is real. So I am tutoring on the side while I await a new opportunity. All welcome to contact me, but I am particularly interested in helping disabled...
All welcome to contact me, but I am particularly interested in helping disabled and/or neurodivergent students like me. Because I know better than most how hard it is for people like us to get ahead in life.
I am qualified to teach most undergrad math subjects, high sciences, and some undergrad computer science. My tutoring approach is not just to teach the material. I will be asking about learning styles — how do you work best. I will be asking about weaknesses too, along with study skills, learning disabilities, etc. Simply put, it will be a comprehensive, tailored approach.
I have about 5 years of tutoring experience. I particularly excel with students with learning disabilities. I was able to get a 4th grade girl from a D to a B+ in just 3 months, and after another month, she was doing basic algebra. I prefer to focus on meaningfulness, concepts, and patterns, before I dive into formal theory and applications. I use something called “agile learning” — do small things quickly.
Thanks for your interest!
