I have tutored more than 6,000 hours on the Wyzant platform over the past nine years and I am able to explain difficult-to-master material in an understandable way that is clear and concise. That requires an unusual combination of exceptional information management skills and effective communication skills developed through 25 years managing large, complex processes to deliver superior results.

Many of my students have taken a course from one of these exam prep companies only to score slightly better than before. I have demonstrated over and over that I can move their scores significantly above what they previously achieved. Unlike the test prep companies that don't monitor their students' progress and performance individually, I keep track of my students' responses to every question they answer, both during the class and in their homework and I use that information to evaluate whether a student is keeping up with the group so that I can address shortcomings where the exist.

I focus on principles and procedures that enable my students to avoid the impediments that have prevented them from answering exam questions correctly. We discuss when and how to use these principles and procedures to most efficiently answer each step of each question that the student answers incorrectly.

After each lesson, I provide homework consisting of (1) explanations we discussed, (2) flashcards of all GMAT/EA idioms or GRE vocabulary words that appear in homework sentence correction questions, (3) questions not previously answered, (4) homework questions missed previously, and (5) flashcards of all the underlying principles and explanations we have discussed. Missed homework questions are discussed in the next lesson, after which they continue to go back into the homework until the students can correctly answer them at home.

Knowledgeable and Experienced Tutor

William is a terrific GMAT tutor. After a couple of months of work together, he helped me raise my score by 70 points and achieve my goal of scoring in the 700s, which I am absolutely positive I could not have done on my own. In particular, my quant score jumped up significantly, which is quite important for b-school applications. We spent our lessons quite effectively, focusing mainly on the material with very little chit chat. Outside of lessons, William assigned homework on his proprietary website that adjusts the material and content tested in real time based off of our lessons. Besides focusing on the quant and verbal sections, William was also able to provide essay and IR prep where needed. Throughout my time with William, I took GMAT official practice exams to test my progress, and with each test, my scores would increase, proving the success of the program. I would definitely recommend William for someone looking to get right down to business and achieve great results (with hard work put in as well). Thanks for everything, William!

Excellent GMAT/Executive Assessment Tutor

William was a terrific tutor in all subject matters for the GMAT/Executive Assessment - particularly in the quant sections. I had not reviewed any of the material in close to a decade and William was able to get me back up to speed very quickly. He is calm mannered and does a great job of explaining concept comments. Additionally, he is extremely responsive with questions on homework. William would be a terrific choice as a tutor.

Great Tutor!

William is patient and works with you all through the process. You can't go wrong if you pick him as your tutor. I am currently taking his help for the EA and his approach is already showing improvements. Hopefully my score reflects the same!

He quickly understood my goals and provided an organized way for me to get there. He was also very helpful with presenting information to me in a way I understood it and made an effort to make sure I was comfortable with the material. Really awesome tutor!

Very methodical, helpful and patient tutor

William did an assessment of my skills to get some data on areas I might need more help in. From there, we worked on problems based on my skill level so my accuracy could improve. He was great at explaining questions I did not get right, and would pause to ensure I understood the concepts. Overall, I've enjoyed working with William and can tell I am retaining some of the concepts we've gone over in our sessions.

Knowledgable and Patient - Quickly diagnosed some of my weaknesses

This was my first session with William, but I appreciate how he was able to quickly diagnose my Quant weaknesses and assign offline homework to improve my skills in those areas. Looking forward to second session.

Patient Tutor with Exceptional Organized Plan of Study for Students

William is extremely patient as he understands I really need to go back to the basics. I chose William not only because of his reviews and experience, but that it sounded like he had a very organized plan for his students. He has a great program that he works with you on that adapts to your knowledge.
