Hi, I'm Christina! I am an enthusiastic writer who tutors English as a passionate extension of my life's work. Having always loved school, I graduated with a B.A. in Theater and Performance Studies from UC Berkeley in 2015 and am currently a full-time copywriting student at Denver Ad School.
My tutoring career began while I was a student at UC Berkeley, mentoring and tutoring middle school math to students through a nonprofit organization called Project S.M.I.L.E. After graduation, I began tutoring high school and college students privately through WyzAnt, and in 2018, I was brought on to the small team of an elite private tutoring company for high school students called Aureus Prep. Overall, I have been tutoring for 4 years, serving students ranging from ages 12 - 27, and have taught the following subjects: English 101, graduate school personal statements, Algebra 1, A.P. Environmental Science, U.S. History, Psychological Research, Psychological Statistics, and the Driver's Permit Exam.
My approach to tutoring is incredibly personalized, creative, and holistic. We begin by discussing your goals and taking inventory of all of the environmental and psychological obstacles impacting academics. From there, I tailor-make short-term and long-term lesson plans targeting those constraints. Outside looking in, our academic approaches can appear unconventional, but it is my belief that every student's path to success is as unique and it is my job to cater to every pupil’s individuality and foster the best environment to inspire them to meet their goals.
You deserve the best support and educational resources possible. As your biggest advocate, it would be an honor to be on your team en route to academic success. Please let me know how I can be of assistance to you and I look forward to our first session. You got this!
