Algebra 1

Algebra 1

Expert in all areas of Algebra. Graphing, solving equations, quadratics, word problems, etc.
Calculus

Calculus

Completed Computational Physics, along with Calculus I, II, and III. Computational Physics involves multi-dimensional modeling which is used through calculus, but involves programming functions and mapping them out to describe diffusion, advection, dispersion, etc. The physics courses I have completed involve using all three levels of calculus, such as taking derivatives and integrals for almost every assignment. In Classical Mechanics, for example, we would have find generic solutions by using calculus with the Euler-Lagrange equations. I also taught calculus-based physics I and II at the CU Denver Learning Resource Center (LRC) as well.
Differential Equations

Differential Equations

Used Ordinary and Partial Differential Equations extensively in Vibrations and Waves, as well as my Differential Equations courses at CU Denver. In V & W, we had to use matrices to find the eigenvectors and eigenvalues for oscillating systems such as coupled springs, pendulums, or electrical circuits. In differential equations, we also had to both plot and find solutions to first and second order homogenous and non-homogenous differential equations, which I used extensively and are common throughout the course. Other materials in the subject matter I am proficient with are reading phase planes, bifurcation diagrams, and limit cycles. Lastly, I have used them extensively in computational physics, from finding analytical solutions to plotting them on MATLAB.
Linear Algebra

Linear Algebra

Completed following math courses pertaining to Linear Algebra: Mathematical Methods for Physicists, Junior and Senior [Advanced] Laboratory, Computational Physics, Quantum Mechanics, Atomic and Molecular Physics, Linear Algebra & Differential Equations, Vibrations and Waves. All employed knowledge of Linear Algebra, and particularly used this in Computational Physics and Advanced Lab courses where Python and MATLAB were required to compute differential equations, eigenvalues, eigenvectors, and more. Quantum Mechanics & Atomic and Molecular Physics heavily relied on this field as well.
Physics

Physics

Tutored physics I & II (Calc and non-calculus based), and optics extensively. Completed my B.S. degree in Physics from CU Denver, one of the most rigorous programs offered by the college, with a 3.60 GPA. I have completed courses known to stop many students from continuing further in the field, such as Quantum Mechanics, Principles of Electricity and Magnetism, Classical Mechanics, Computational Physics, and Mathematical Methods for Physicists.
Trigonometry

Trigonometry

Trigonometry is constantly used in physics courses, and is one of the key elements to solving 2D & 3D problems using vector analysis. Courses that use this extensively are: Calculus III and Principles of Electricity and Magnetism, where 3D trigonometry is used constantly. Additionally, in Vibrations and Waves/Oscillations courses, it is imperative to understand trigonometric functions to find wave state solutions, which I have completed.

Very Knowledgeable and Patient

Timothy was the only tutor who was able to help me tackle my class assignment which dealt with specific cases for differential equations. He was very knowledgeable and was able to break down tricky or difficult concepts into a form that could be easily understood. Not only that, but he helped me along with past concepts I should be familiar with. He didn’t make me feel awkward about being a bit shaky with some mathematical topics. He’s also patient and will work through whatever with you and and answer your questions. Didn’t feel rushed. Overall, great tutor, and would go back to him again.

Great tutor, very patient and knowledgeable!

I was in desperate need for a last minute overview of about 9 math sections to study for my college calculus midterm and I only had two days to study. Not only was it last minute, but in one tutor session Timothy was able to teach the material and explain it to me in an understandable way! He is very knowledgeable in mathematics and was super patient with me. Overall, I had a great experience and I will definitely reach out to him if I ever need tutoring again :)

AP Physics

Timothy is very knowledgeable in his subject, and I felt bad for how clueless I was during our session. Nevertheless, he remained patient with me and didn't show frustration.

Knows his stuff and has great writing

I went into this tutoring session with no knowing the material and not only did I come out understanding the relation between current, power, voltage, R equivalents etc... Timothy was able to explain to explain these problems to me in a very digestible way.

Very knowledgeable && patient

Very helpful && understanding! He was willing to give deep explanations to the questions asked. He also gave me the chance to answer the question before giving feedback ! If you’re looking for a reliable physics tutor , he is most definitely the man !

Very Knowledgeable

Timothy explains everything very clearly and is very understanding. I had some trouble with complex concepts but he took the time to explain them in a very simplified way. It was an absolutely great experience, and I highly recommend him for physics!

Knowledgable tutor

He was a huge help with my summer physics course. He was able to demonstrate examples and thoroughly explain each problem. He helped me study for my final and successfully pass the course. I highly recommend this tutor.

Physics 1

Tim did a great job explaining the topics related to kinematic and force problems. It was clear he knew his stuff and was able to explain in a way where I was able to understand it as well. Would recommend.

Good at showing problems step by step

Timothy did a great job showing me how to do my homework assignments. We went through each problem step by step and he showed clearly how to do the problems. He is very helpful when it comes to determine units and converting.
