Hi everyone, I have graduated from University of California Santa Cruz with a B.A. in Pure Mathematics! I also achieved an A.S.- T in Applied Mathematics from my former junior college 2015. To add, I am also the former president and founder of my college Mathematics Club. I have 12+ years of tutoring experience. I have been tutoring for so long that I’ve seen almost every private school, public school, charter school, STEM School math for California, New York, Texas, Florida and other states. My experience level is top notch and my teaching style has evolved to raise my students’ confidence and level of skill immediately yet not overwhelm them.

The ACT is very fast paced, 60 questions in 60 minutes for the mathematics portion. It contains elementary algebra, intermediate algebra, coordinate geometry, plane geometry, and trigonometry, which are all subjects I am an expert on. I am very confident in ACT math, and I strongly believe students should study the ACT first to prepare for the SAT. During my time at University of California Santa Cruz I took Number Theory Math 110 and Graph Theory Math 115 because I was minoring in Theoretical Computer Science and these were perfect electives to satisfy the required courses to complete the Pure Math track. A huge part of the number theory course is modulo arithmetic, which is one of the foundations of discrete mathematics and another was Graph Theory which entailed matrix theory and many proofs involving trees. I also tutored many peers in my class and made friends in the Computer Science department that were taking the actual class called "Discrete Mathematics." I had them sit with me in the library while I worked on my own math homework and when they were stuck they would ask me for help. To their surprise, I would stop what I am doing, look at their papers, quickly write out the problems and solve them. It turned into such a big study group we ended up booking large rooms in the libraries and I had to use chalk boards and white boards to explain the material and it felt like I was tutoring the whole discrete math course at the university! Modulo arithmetic, set theory, relations and functions, sequences and series, and graph theory to name a few are my experiences not only tutoring discrete math but taught on a daily basis with my other students currently. I believe I am the best fit for Discrete Mathematics because I know how to do proofs and I have taken courses pertaining to specific subjects that are gone over in Discrete Mathematics.

I even tutored an electrical engineer who was forced to take a computer test for his job, after 30 years. He had forgotten some of the math, and requested my help immediately. His subject material was trigonometry mixed with Periodic Waves and Phasor Analysis pertaining to electricity. I actually rejected his request at the time, since I had never tutored trigonometry before, but he said that he had six tutors before me and none of them could handle the new material and that he needed my help. I studied the ASVAB back when I was in high school. I was looking into branches of intelligence & defense for our country. I mastered many books and helped my friends study for the ASVAB. My friends depended on me for teaching them mathematics. One went to the United States Military Academy at West Point and one went into the army to fight in Afghanistan through high test scores on the ASVAB. I on the other hand, decided that college was the route for me. Since then I have tutored 4 people in the ASVAB all that chose the CAT-ASVAB (computer adaptive testing).
