Hi all! I hope everyone is having a fantastic summer! As I’m finally back home from college for the next few months, I wanted to dedicate some of my spare time tutoring younger students.

A little bit about myself –– my name is Kushal and I’m both a Harker School graduate of the Bay Area and a fourth year biology major (with a 3.99 GPA) at Drexel University’s combined BS/MD program (a program that boasts a competitive acceptance rate of 2% and guarantees entry to the university’s medical school). I’ve had the pleasure of tutoring students ranging from 2nd to 12th grade for the past 6 years in a variety of subjects.

In terms of courses/subjects I tutor, I tutor only classes that I myself have previously taken, tailoring individualized curriculums based on my students’ unique abilities, strengths, and weaknesses. These classes include, but are not limited to: AP Chemistry, AP Biology, all levels of English (including AP English Literature), AP Spanish, and all levels of math (including AP Calculus).

I also have experience in preparing students for their SAT and ACT exams. Having achieved a 1570 and a 35 on my own exams, I’ve been able to leverage my test-taking skills and techniques to help my own students achieve large score improvements.

Moreover, I have experience in college counseling, guiding students not only through the application process, but also with college essay and personal statement brainstorming, outlining, and revising.
