Hi!

I have two and a half years as a group and online tutor for introductory biology at De Anza Community College and three years’ experience as a freelance formal logic (propositional and predicate logic) tutor while attending Columbia University. I graduated Summa Cum Laude in May 2018 with a B.A. in philosophy, receiving departmental honors. I have long experience throughout my academic career of writing argumentative and philosophical essays. My expertise are with argument structure, content, and logic.

I am currently taking a gap year before embarking on PhD in philosophy.

I have over three years of experience tutoring both sentential (propositional) logic and predicate (first order) logic at an advanced college level. I have experience with several methods of proof as well as syntax, semantics and symbolization.

I am also very familiar with all the logic courses being taught at De Anza.

I have written countless argumentative and philosophical essays over the last 6 years in addition to acting as an editor and argument couch at the college level. I have received exceptional scores on the reading section of both the SAT and GRE.

If you have any questions about exactly how I can help you improve any area of writing, reading, or logic, don't hesitate to contact me to work out a customized schedule and lessen plan.

Logic

I have a degree in philosophy (with departmental honors) from Columbia University. While there I took multiple classes in classical logic (propositional and predicate) as well as an advanced course in non-classical logic. While at Columbia, I tutored fellow students in symbolic logic and have continued to tutor it post graduation.

His Intellect is Powerful Beyond Measure!

I’ve received weekly tutoring from Chris since the start of the semester in February. Before our very first session, I explained to him that I failed the same “Formal Logic” course at my home university twice, unfortunately delaying my initial graduation date of June 2021 to this fall, 2023. Chris offered that he might be able to assist me in my journey to finally pass a Formal Logic class. I tried tutoring lessons with at least 7 other tutors during the same time I received lessons from Chris and there is simply no comparison. Chris not only demonstrates mastery of the subject, but also the surrounding, related, subjects. For example, during our very first session, Chris really explained to me the definition, utilization and importance of Formal Logic on a grander scale—in our every day lives. This personalization of the extremely daunting, math-y material helped me in ways I cannot even fully articulate in this review. I am proud to say that after receiving three consistent months of tutoring from him, I have now passed the course with an ABOVE AVERAGE final grade. This means a lot to me because I am used to failing the course each time I take it. I recommend Chris and his EXPERTISE to anyone who truly has no understanding whatsoever of Formal Logic and wish to be guided in the most entertaining way. Thank you so much, Chris! You are an absolute GEM.

Efficient and fun symbolic logic savior

Chris was an absolutely incredible tutor for symbolic logic! He not only helped me learn languages from predicate logic to general propositional logic (with identity), but also made ever lesson together incredibly engaging, fun, and insightful. We worked together for several months during an online logic course I took. Without him, I would not have been able to have found as much success in the course. I hope to work again with him in the near future throughout any philosophy classes I take. Thank you so much! You’re incredible!

Impressive Knowledge on Philosophy

Chris showed me several alternative ways about learning philosophy compared to the one way my professor has taught. His help made it possible for me to pass my test. I look forward to finishing up the semester with him. I really need this class to graduate.

Thank You Chris

Chris helps me understand what I’m doing wrong and about to do wrong with Propositional Logic. Grateful for his help so I can learn the correct way before thinking the incorrect way is correct.
