I am a PhD student who truly loves writing and research, carrying my passion into helping students with college admissions essays, creative writing tasks, dense graduate-level research papers, literature reviews, grant applications, and much more.

I am in the History Department at the University of California, San Diego, one of the top 20 History Departments in the U.S. I hold an ivy-league master's degree from Cambridge University where I graduated with honors in 2021 with a Master of Philosophy in Development Studies - i.e. the political economics of international development. My degree was evaluated entirely on research papers, and I am well versed in UK-style writing and literature reviews. I also hold a Bachelor of Art in International Security and Conflict Resolution from San Diego State University, where I graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2016.

I have been involved in teaching and tutoring for more than twelve years, starting as a classroom tutor in high school, a Resident Advisor at SDSU, a Programme Associate on Youth for the United Nations where I helped develop and implement educational curricula internationally through the Education for Justice Program, in addition to being the Elected Student Representative of my postgraduate cohort at Cambridge University, and soon-to-be university Teaching Assistant for my doctoral course (Spring 2026).

I have also worked on nine qualitative research projects for organizations such as the UN and Amnesty International, and have written a graduate dissertation for Cambridge University scoring a UK 71 or the US equivalent of an A.

I have worked for and with governments in a number of settings, from working with government officials in Kenya and a variety of ambassadors to amend national law in Kenya and implement youth empowerment projects, to working for my local county government as management staff overseeing health department efforts to prevent COVID-19 cases. As a political science student with two honor degrees, my BA and MPhil, a big part of my studies surrounded government administration and politics.
