I taught at schools and tutored for over 30 years and I derive immense satisfaction when my students begin to understand new concepts.

I specialize in teaching Math and English. I am currently tutoring online. I communicate well with students, and they enjoy my lighthearted approach as they begin to better appreciate some of the core concepts. I focus on helping my students understand basic principles so that they can then build on them. A firm foundation is a basis for future success.

I taught at Elementary and Middle school, and was head of Math for Grade 7, setting course work and examination papers for five classes. I also taught English and Math at High School level. I taught at private schools like the Francis Parker School and San Diego Jewish Academy, public schools and schools using Common Core.

I understand that each student is different. I therefore adjust my approach to work with their relative strengths in solving their difficulties.

I prefer to tutor students at Elementary and Middle School level, helping them build their future academic success based on solid learning skills. There is tremendous satisfaction in seeing a student's grades improve along with an increased willingness to learn and achieve.

I came to Dale in need of tutoring for my boys. They have struggled tremendously with math. My boys confidence and self esteem was close to non existent. After a few lessons with Dale my oldest son passed his first math test since the school year began in August with an 86%! Previous to this score his highest math score was 44%. My younger son hasn't taken a math test yet but has acknowledged he feels more confident. Dale is patient, understanding and thorough.
