Hi! I'm Rishabh and I love the moment when a concept finally for clicks someone I’m tutoring: the widened eyes, a big “oh!”, and a contagious smile that follows. Having experienced these same clicks countless times before, these moments remind me why I love teaching so much.
I am a current math and physics major at UC Berkeley who has over 3 years of tutoring experience. I graduated as Valedictorian of my high school and, during my time in high school, I earned top grades in numerous graduate-level/master's-level math courses at university, ranging from Real and Complex Analysis to Algebraic Structures. I’ve consistently pushed beyond the standard curriculum to explore the “why” behind the math and I feel that it is my duty to share math’s beauty and my love of learning to others. At my high school, I was recognized by the math department as the 'top mathematician' and have won thousands of dollars in scholarship money for my substantial "investment in other people". I have earned a perfect 800 on the SAT math section and gotten 5's on all AP Calculus AB/BC and AP Physics C exams.
Over the years, I’ve worked with a wide range of students—middle and high schoolers, peers, and even college students—through one-on-one tutoring, volunteer programs, and math competition coaching. Regardless of the subject area I teach, my goal is always to make complex ideas feel accessible and build broader intuition for the subject area through patience and clarity. Although specialized in calculus (AP Calc, Calc 1/2/3), I am also highly experienced in tutoring the following: Algebra I/II + Geometry (Integrated Math 1, 2, 3), (Honors) Precalculus, Ordinary Differential Equations, SAT Math, ACT Math. What sets me apart is my ability to connect with students at their level. I ask questions, draw diagrams, and use analogies to guide my students toward understanding.
