Quickest hour of my week.

Azumi is very well-prepared and well-trained in teaching Japanese. She gauges my skill level very accurately, and can anticipate common mistakes very well. To me, these are signs of having lots of experience. Her bright personality, broad life experiences and great sense of humor also make the lessons very relatable and enjoyable. All this makes it well worth my while to make the somewhat long drive to get tutored by her. I hope this review helps, and good luck to future Japanese students!

Amazing and Patient Tutor!

The old saying goes, "You get what you pay for" and this holds true here as well. Azumi was not only able to help me with what I requested, but she was able to tailor it to what I've learned from previous lessons I learned while in College. She was also incredibly patient with helping me as I stumbled through trying to remember what the word I was looking for was. I would highly recommend if you're looking for someone who's not only a native speaker, but an incredible tutor as well.

Azumi is a great Japanese tutor. She is engaging and encouraging, and is clearly very experienced and skillful at the art of teaching. On the first lesson, Azumi was able to gauge the appropriate level of material to cover. It was interesting and challenging without being too hard.

Azumi is great!

Azumi is an excellent teacher. I feel much more confident in my Japanese. She's incredibly patient and knowledgeable, a fantastic combination. Her lessons feel specific to you and and she is very positive. She also does a good job at guiding you in your studies, which is a really hard thing to do when learning Japanese alone. Highly recommended.

Azumi sensei has a very kind and patient personality! No matter how long it takes you to solve a problem, she will try to help you out and wait patiently until the answer comes to you! I definitely recommend Azumi sensei to anyone who's trying to pick up the Japanese language!

Amazing Japanese teacher!

Azumi is the perfect Japanese instructor for my daughter. She was amazing and my daughter is so excited for her next lesson. I don't think anyone else would have encouraged her more, Azumi is in time with what my daughter is into and can relate to her. That definitely goes a long way in my book. I hope we will be seeing Azumi every week for a very long time.

Glad I did this.

It's only been one lesson so far, but... Azumi-sensei's happy and relaxed attitude make lessons for adult learners like myself more enjoyable. She seems to have fun with it too, which makes it even better. If I make a mistake, she doesn't correct me, but prompts me to think about it and try to come up with the right answer myself. That makes it more likely I'll remember because it pushes me to actually think and work things out myself. She knows the language from a native's perspective as well as a teacher's, so it gives me confidence that I will be learning what I need to be learning. I'll be continuing my lessons with Azumi-sensei because her knowledge and her teaching style work well for me.

Knowlegable and fun tutor

Azumi-san has been a great tutor. She is patient, helpful and knows her subject matter very well. She is also very friendly and the 1 hour goes by really quickly. Azumi-san can gauge your understanding and skill level very quickly and adjusts her lesson to best fit your experiences and level of learning. I am thankful I am able to learn Japanese with her.
