I'm a UC Berkeley grad with a double major in Physics and Astrophysics and have nearly 10 years of tutoring experience! I have worked with many different kinds of students of all ages and am able to adjust my teaching style to each of their specific needs. I find so much joy in helping students not only understand challenging concepts, but improve their self-confidence and mindset as well. I'm a UC Berkeley grad with a double major in Physics and Astrophysics and have nearly 10 years of tutoring experience! I have worked with many different kinds of students of all ages and am able to adjust my teaching style to each of their specific needs. I find so much joy in helping students not only understand challenging concepts, but improve their self-confidence and mindset as well. I believe hard work, patience, and a healthy dose of enthusiasm can get you just about anywhere! Learning math and science can actually be...dare I say it...fun!

I have studied a great deal of mathematics (up to Single-Variable/Multivariable Calculus, Differential Equations and Linear Algebra) through my Physics and Astrophysics degree. In addition to all my private tutoring experience I've also worked as a tutor for Alden Learning and for various high school after school programs. Back in high school I scored 2240/2400 on the SAT and got 5s in both the AP Calculus AB and BC exams. In my spare time I'm also an actor and singer--it's all about balance! :)

Truly amazing tutor

Talya is incredible. She spent 90 minutes with my twins on Algebra 2 and I think they learned more with her than they have all semester in school. Both kids raved about her enthusiasm, pace and easy-to-understand instruction.

Talya is extremely knowledgeable and very thorough. Appreciate her patience as she goes through the various steps of each equation. Pre-calc is challengeing but Talya understands that each student has their ways of learning the material. Cannot recommend her enough!

Talya is not only smart and knowledgeable, but is also warm and kind, and my daughter really enjoyed working with her on pre-algebra and chemistry.
