My name is Alex. I am a student studying Computational Linguistics. I am here to help you with Math, German, ESL and Debate. I also won a German-language debate competition called Jugend debattiert in 2021 and have been supporting the project as a judge ever since. My interest in German and other languages also helped my understanding of linguistics and English grammar. Furthermore I received excellent grades in math from when I was in school. I have been tutoring on and off for over a year in both ESL, German, and math for both young children and adults and have gotten very good feedback for my performance.
In our lessons my goal is to focus on the individual areas of support for each student. Before starting lessons we can discuss what aspects of the subject need to be focused on. You can also send me any material you would like support with. As someone who needed tutoring at certain points in my life before, I understand how it can be difficult when both teachers and tutors teach things in a way that does not explain the content clearly and understandably. Therefore the understandability of the subject is a focal point in my tutoring. I will curate a lesson with specific exercises and curtailed to each student's specific needs and also spend time explaining anything that may cause difficulty in a fun way.
