Hi! My name is Sade, and I am a UC Berkeley graduate, Class of 2024.
I am passionate about providing English, writing, and college application guidance services, particularly for those who may not have access to extensive academic resources. Coming from a humble background myself, I understand the challenges of navigating difficult writing courses and the college application process. It brings me a lot of fulfillment to be a source of support for young students learning to build strong, independent skills.
I earned my degree in Ethnic Studies with Honors and maintained a 3.8 GPA while completing a 100-page Honors Undergraduate Thesis. I have additionally completed a Master’s Certificate in Applied Policy and Governance. I have been accepted to several prestigious national policy-oriented internships and currently work in state government where I continue to exercise my policy-writing skills.
Before college, I graduated high school with a 4.4 GPA and received direct acceptance to multiple UC schools. I received a 5 on the APUSH exam and 5 on the APLAC exam.
With four years of experience as a writing tutor, I have helped 50+ students successfully be:
- Accepted to several graduate and undergraduate programs such as USC, the UCs, and various private universities;
- Strengthen student's writing and comprehension skills in Ethnic Studies, English, History and various AP courses;
- Revise and help students build strong resumes for applying to college and internships;
- Serve as a college guide that encompasses everything from preparing a detailed 2-3 year plan on all the steps to successfully get into a great college to good habit building (time management skills, organizational skills, goal building) to essay brainstorming and drafting.
As a first-generation college graduate, who worked three job in college, and a proud Mexican woman of color, I am dedicated to supporting others in building the skills for success and their academic journeys. Please feel free to reach out if you are interested!
