As a graduate of the UC Irvine PhD Biomedical Engineering program, I hope to help others with their needs in school subjects. I have had the opportunity to tutor other students during my undergraduate career at UC Davis and serve as a graduate teaching assistant. Currently, I have a role at a pharmaceutical company as a senior manager of scientific communications focusing on medical publications. I have taken many courses in math and science as part of my high school, undergraduate, graduate, and professional training. I am also able to provide some writing help as well. I plan to ask a lot of questions, thoroughly explore concepts, and guide students to reach their own answers. I am encouraging and work to provide a safe, learning atmosphere for students. I describe myself as a well rounded and detailed-oriented individual. My hobbies include crafting and beach trips.

Career Development

Since my sophomore year of high school, I was focused on reaching my career goals in the field of biomedical engineering and pursuing my interests in math and science. After graduating, I knew that I wanted to continue this learning, and in the PhD program at UC Irvine, I worked on tissue engineering research. After graduating, I also completed postdoctoral research, research within a start-up in the San Francisco Bay Area, and now within the medical affairs department at a pharmaceutical company focusing on scientific communications and publications. I thoroughly enjoy being a part of this area of an industry, and would be happy to coach and assist anyone who is looking to do the same or similar.
