I have worked for several years specializing with students from 2nd grade through middle school, although I had students as young as Kindergarten through high school. I also am studying to become a math teacher and have learned a lot about the Common Core standards and methods. I am comfortable with the Common Core methods and teaching for understanding. I am a strong believer in teaching students multiple methods to complete problems and also ensuring that those students understand why those methods work. I have mastered several different teaching methods, involving diagrams, number lines, and manipulatives to teach with Common Core methods.

Flexible and knowledgeable

Beth was able to help our daughter with little notice and work around our schedule. She communicates complex concepts well. She really helped our daughter better understand the things her teacher hadn’t really explained.

Great experience

Beth worked with my 13-year-old son on eighth grade math. She was very patient with him. The time spent was productive, and he appeared to get much more done with her assistance than he could have on his own . Recommended
