I am an experienced teacher who loves working with students of all ages and ability levels! I possess a current Clear Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and a Master's degree in Special Education. I have previously been certified in English, Social Studies, and Special Education, and I have experience teaching both general and special education students. I am an experienced teacher who loves working with students of all ages and ability levels! I possess a current Clear Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and a Master's degree in Special Education. I have previously been certified in English, Social Studies, and Special Education, and I have experience teaching both general and special education students. I also have been trained by a major test preparation company, have years of experience teaching the SAT, ACT, GRE, and ISEE, and have scored in the top 90% of test-takers in all sections of the PSAT, SAT, and GRE.

I have classroom and tutoring experience with elementary through adult students. I have taught Math, English, Social Studies, Government, Reading, Writing, and Study Skills. I have taught students with special needs and students identified as "gifted," though I believe that all students are gifted in their own way, especially when they are given instruction that meets their needs.

Helped me every step of the way

Katherine is a wonderful tutor and she will help you get where you need. I needed a lot of help preparing for the GREs. Katherine helped me pick the right materials and resources to fit my needs, made a weekly plan of what to work on during the session and on my own, and even gave me feedback on essays over emails. She will cover all the tricks and strategies of the GRE on top of the material, and give you advice on small changes to your daily routine that can help you in the test. My scores increased tremendously every week, and I felt very prepared walking into the test center. I got scores that I didn't really think was possible for me, and I absolutely couldn't have done it without Katherine.

Excellent Tutor!

Katherine was invaluable in helping my daughter to pass the CHSPE but the math/English she was working on would equally apply to the SAT/ACT tests. She built my daughter's confidence by highlighting the things she could do as well as taking her step-by-step through the things she couldn't do. We had tried other tutors who just didn't work for my daughter, either because they weren't engaging or they were trying to work too fast. However, my daughter immediately warmed to Katherine (even though they were working remotely) and I would recommend her without any hesitation.
