Credentialed Teacher and Experienced Tutor

Hello!

My name is Daniel and I am a credentialed Social Studies teacher. I have been teaching in public and private schools for seven years, and I have been tutoring for over ten years.

My specialties are in US History, Medieval/Early Modern European History, and History of the Ancient Mediterranean. I also have a strong background in Mathematics and Physics, including a couple years of work in a Mechanical Engineering lab. I especially enjoy Calculus, Newtonian Physics, and Quantum Wave Theory.

But, my greatest passion is for language learning. From the time I was a child I have been studying language, and as a undergraduate I received a minor in Linguistics. I speak Spanish as a second language, but I have also studied Latin, Attic Greek, Cherokee, ASL, Korean, Sanskrit, and Navajo.

I am happy to work with students who want to learn in a variety of formats, whether that be simply homework help, exam preparation, or a more structured, sequential learning plan.
