For the entirety of my undergraduate college career I have been tutoring both college peers and K-12 school children in Biology, English, and Mathematics. I first began my work as a college tutor at a local community college where I tutored both Mathematics and Biology. As the years passed I moved onto tutoring Chemistry and Physics alongside Mathematics and Biology. After heading to UC Berkeley, I began to tutor K-12 children in English and Mathematics at Best in Class Tutoring services where I also took on the responsibility of tutoring high school students preparing for the SAT. Being a tutor was very enjoyable job for me in undergrad, and I wish to continue to tutor as I continue my education in graduate school. Helping students not only get higher marks on tests, but also teaching them how to properly study, has always been a very rewarding experience for me. Having returning students, that I saw on a weekly basis, was incredibly rewarding as I got to know them and see them excel in their studies to the point where they had their own tool kit that they used in their own independent studying. I wish to not only have those experience again, but also to create lesson plans and work with students in a workshop group setting seeing as those always were very helpful to college students.
I have a degree in genetics from the University of California, Berkeley alongside several years of industry experience.
