In 2012, I graduated with honors from UC Berkeley after just three years of study, majoring in Psychology with a focus on Pre-Medical Sciences. For the past ten years, I've dedicated myself to tutoring, working one-on-one with students throughout the country.

What sets me apart as a tutor is my unwavering commitment to my students' academic success and my tailored approach to their unique needs. To begin, I thoroughly assess each student's current knowledge level, ensuring a strong foundation or addressing any gaps in understanding before proceeding with lessons. Rather than simply offering solutions, I use a Socratic method, asking probing questions to guide students towards the correct thought processes. This approach empowers them to tackle problems independently, boosting their confidence and problem-solving abilities.

One of my standout strengths is my psychology background, which I developed while being inducted into Psi Chi, The International Psychology Honors Society in 2012. This psychological insight allows me to maximize each student's potential by understanding their learning styles and adapting my teaching methods accordingly.

I began using Maher’s tutoring service in the 10th grade of high school and continued doing so up until my second year of college. During this period we covered Geometry, Chemistry, Algebra, Statistics (AP), ACT review, Pre-Calc (college), Calc 1 (college), and Calc 2 (college). My ability to do well within these classes was made possible due to the time Maher took in explaining and working out problems from these subjects. Maher is without a doubt the best tutor I have had the experience working with. He not only has an ability to break down concepts to an understandable level but is able to expand on ideas which helped me develop detailed understandings of difficult topics. College-level calculus was by far the most challenging course I have so far as a student, however, Maher helped me understand the intricacies of the subject to the point where I actually enjoyed studying for the class. I would recommend Maher to anyone I knew, regardless of personality or student type. He is flexible, patient, understanding, calm, and unbelievably helpful. His tutoring helped me pass extremely difficult courses, and thanks to him I was able to successfully transfer from my community college to UCSD for a degree in economics! Maher has been my son's tutor in high school in various subjects since my son was in tenth grade.
