I am a Princeton University graduate and credentialed teacher with a Master's Degree in Education. I have tutored as well as taught students in K-6th grade levels, helping them to develop skills to promote their reading fluency, vocabulary, and reading comprehension abilities. I have also helped with oral language growth, alphabet understanding, and written language development. Math-wise, I have taught students to use and compare integers, fractions, decimals, percents, and numbers with exponents. Students also have learned to master the order of operations. In science, students have come to know the characteristics of elements, compounds, and mixtures. Also that matter is composed of parts too small to be seen (i.e. protons, neutrons, electrons). Along the lines of history, students have learned the immigration and settlement patterns that have shaped the growth of the United States.

Special Needs

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

For the past 12 years, I have come to specialize in tutoring Autistic students. These students require someone to teach them who has a big heart, and I have that big heart. I understand their needs and am able to explain ideas to them in a way which they can comprehend. I am very quick to pick up on cues from them if they are feeling frustrated or confused by something we are talking about and I am able to pivot to something else to alleviate their anxiety and continue with our session. I love teaching my Autistic students and I really relate to them. I am a credentialed teacher with a Master's Degree in Education. Please message me to work with your Autistic student! I would love to meet them!
