I went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in pure mathematics from San Jose State University and a master’s in education from National University, as well as a California Single Subject Teaching Credential in Mathematics.
I have over a decade of experience teaching middle and high school math, including Algebra, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, AP Calculus AB/BC, and Statistics. I’ve worked in public schools, private schools, and one-on-one tutoring environments. My approach is centered on building confidence through conceptual understanding, not rote memorization. I tailor lessons to each student’s strengths and goals, using strategies like guided questioning, step-by-step problem solving, and real-world applications to make math engaging and accessible.
In addition to classroom teaching, I’ve tutored students individually and in small groups, helping learners from middle school through college entrance exam prep.
