I was born in Guerrero, Mexico and am now teacher, coach and translator/interpreter. I have a BA in Mathematics Teaching for Secondary Language Learners and am currently working on my master's in education and teaching credential. I have been tutoring for 8 years and I have loved every minute of it. I tutor Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Trigonometry, Precalculus, Spanish, and writing. I am available to help during the summer as well for any summer courses. For adult students, I can tutor for the CBEST and ASVAB as well.

Dedication is a key factor to success and if you want to succeed, you have to think outside the box. It is not easy and there will be struggles but that does not mean you will be doing this alone. There is a lesson to be learned every day but it is up to you to decide whether you ignore it or learn from it. I am passionate in this line of work and I will always put forth everything I can into each tutoring session.

Algebra 1

Algebra 1

Algebra 1 is the start of variables and a lot of students get confused when they start seeing letters in math. I try to break down this subject as much as I can because it is the base of math. My main focus for Algebra 1 is adding like terms, solving for a variable, and graphing linear expressions.
Algebra 2

Algebra 2

Algebra 2 is one of the math subjects that I tutor the most. I break things down into easier terms that students can understand, especially when it comes to quadratics expressions and logarithmic functions.
CBEST

CBEST

I passed the CBEST in August of 2020. I have knowledge of what to expect when taking the CBEST and provide applicants with great study skills. Time management is something that every person should be taught because it needs to be completed under a certain time limit. I mainly help with the math portion of the CBEST because that is where most applicants struggle but I provide helpful tips with the writing and reading portion of the CBEST.

I currently work as a tutor for Crescent View West Public Charter School. I am also a senior at Fresno State. I am projected to graduate in May 2022 with a BA in Spanish and a completed minor in math. At Fresno State I successfully completed EHD 50, which is the class that teaches us about common core. I teach 2 elective classes at Crescent View West Public Charter School and help struggling students in math, reading, and spanish. Though this is what I teach, all staff goes over common core for students and we have the knowledge of common core for english, math, science, and social studies.

I currently work as a tutor for a Public Charter School. I graduated from California State University - Fresno with my BA in Mathematics Teaching for Secondary Language Learners. I have 8+ years of tutoring experience and have worked with students in elementary school, middle school, and high school. I tutor students of all ages and I make sure to focus strongly when it comes to elementary as it is important to have a strong base before they move on to the next grade.

I have been an athlete since 2014 and became a coach in 2019. As a coach, I develop both the technique and strength of my athletes in the gym. I provide weight programs for my athletes and have visual demonstrations for each lift. Athletes see me perform the lifts so they are aware and have a visual of how lifts are supposed to be.

I have a completed minor in math. During my 8 years of tutoring, I mainly tutor algebra 1, algebra 2 and precalculus because these subjects tend to be the subjects harder for students.

Spanish was my first language. I took AP Spanish Language in high school and am working on a BA in Spanish at Fresno State.
Track & Field

I have been an an athlete since 2014 for the throwing events of track and field. I became a coach in 2019 for Clovis West High School. I coach students on my free time and provide useful skills that can develop technique in the ring. To this day, I continue training as an athlete and provide visual demonstrations as to how perform the techniques and lifts for the throwing events.

Awesome Teacher

Awesome Teacher! Before getting started with a question she makes sure you understand the concept of the subject. Gives you detailed examples and exact definition. Truly someone who I was searching for even tho we are from different time zones we were able to manage and get basic information for different subjects. In just a small amount of time I was able to learn what could have took me hours to resolve. She is like a guide who works with you. I wasn’t the best at sitting down and looking at a math problem but Ms.T is an amazing instructor!
