I earned my associate’s, bachelor’s, and master’s degrees in Accounting with honors.

Professionally, I have worked as a forensic accountant, bookkeeper, accounting manager and mortgage underwriter. I even taught accounting part-time as adjunct faculty. Tutoring has been the most rewarding!

As a mortgage underwriter, I have an opportunity to evaluate business financials to determine cash flow available for principals on a daily basis. In a prior role, I analyzed business performance to determine if it was prudent to enter into joint ventures with other entities. My work experience has taught me about contract law, human resources, cost-benefit analysis, and break-even principles. That experience, plus my education in accounting make me well-suited to tutor business concepts.

Although my federal and CA state NMLS licenses are presently inactive, I did successfully pass both on my first attempts. I have helped many students pass the Real Estate exams in their state, and have sourced, processed and underwritten residential mortgage applications for decades. I also took the full training course to become a licensed real estate appraiser and can help with USPAP. I have experience in operations, loss mitigation, and mortgage servicing, including packaging settled mortgages in MBS pools for securitization. If you have questions, I have answers!
