I'm Melissa! I am a recent graduate from University of California, Irvine. I graduated Cum Laude with Bachelor's of Arts degrees in Anthropology and Psychology, and a minor in Linguistics. I successfully completed multiple honors programs as an undergraduate. The Campuswide Honors Program exposed me to a wide variety of courses ranging from Humanities to Biological Sciences. I completed four quarters of original anthropological research as required by the Honors in Anthropology program. This culminated in an undergraduate thesis and oral presentations at multiple conferences. My passion for learning is undeniable, and I often joke about becoming a “professional student”. I hope to share my passion, excitement, and knowledge with you!

I have a strong background in the Social Sciences, anthropology and psychology specifically. My studies in anthropology have included: archaeology, linguistics, law and policy, medical, and cultural. My studies in psychology have included: fundamentals, vision, industrial/organizational, clinical, and brain disorders.

I also have a strong writing background, which began long before college. I took all honors/AP writing courses in high school. Additionally, I passed all writing AP tests. My writing success continued in college where I frequently received high marks and impressed various professors along the way. Furthermore, my undergraduate thesis is on the road to publication.

My assessment experience is strong. Most recently, I worked for an anthropology professor for one year. My responsibilities included grading exams and essays and assessing student performance. I often provided guidance and feedback as students worked to develop and refine their writing skills.

I have training experience outside of the academic realm. I worked as a trainer in the food industry, where I led both individual and group training sessions. I worked with my trainees each week to develop new skills, assess performance and knowledge, and build confidence in abilities. My approach often inc

Found the best tutor!

We found the best tutor for our daughter that just started high school. The Wyzant platform was very easy to find a tutor with just a few clicks. The first tutor I reached out to responded in minutes and she was a perfect fit.

Very Professional

Tremendously helpful with statistics from the very beginning. I've had a difficult time understanding statistics since the first day of class and I feel I've found someone who will really help me.
