I graduated from Harvard University with a degree in Computer Science and a German Citation, and I graduated as valedictorian of one of the top high schools in SoCal. I have 7+ years of experience working as a software engineer, during which I designed, built, and maintained high-throughput systems at companies such as Microsoft, PayPal, EF Education First, and many others. Writing essays and general English grammar are strong skills of mine that I have honed throughout my successful career in the Ivy League.

I am passionate about tutoring and enjoy watching the fruits of my students' efforts bloom into fruition. During my time at Harvard, I had the privilege of tutoring courses like Computer Visualizations and Intro to Computer Science, where I saw firsthand how personalized guidance can transform a student's understanding and confidence. I believe tutoring is not just about imparting knowledge; it's about sparking curiosity, fostering problem-solving skills, and helping students navigate challenges in a way that empowers them long after the session ends. It's an incredibly rewarding experience to be part of someone's educational journey and contribute to their growth.

I am proficient in various computer programming languages such as Python, Java, Javascript, Golang, and C/C++. I offer a wide range of tutoring experiences from technical interview prep, homework help, career advice, AP high school assignment aid, and system design assistance. Furthermore, I provide tutoring for various levels of Math and teach how to write impactful essays for all occasions, including college admission essays, work analyses, and/or blog posts.

If you're looking to get a better grasp of math or computer science, or if you need help brainstorming ideas for how to write an essay, don't hesitate to reach out. I can help you break things down in a way that makes sense and gives you a stronger, more intuitive understanding. Whether you're looking for broader guidance or just need to solve a tricky problem, I'm happy to help.

Career Development

Career Development

I have been working professionally as a software engineer for 7+ years now, and I have worked at various companies that range from big-tech to small startups. This expertise has made me an expert in how to market one's self for interviews and networking opportunities. I have participated in a multitude of interviews (both as an interviewee and interviewer) and understand what companies are looking for when making the next big hire. I also spent 4 years as an undergrad at Harvard College, where I had access to world-renowned counselors for how to emphasize the best qualities of one's characteristics.
Computer Science

Computer Science

I am a highly skilled backend engineer with extensive experience in building robust, scalable systems across various industries, including at companies like PayPal and Reality Defender. At PayPal, I spearheaded the development of backend microservices to transfer large volumes of data, working closely with internal teams to ensure secure, efficient data transfers. I also led the migration of Reality Defender's AI backend pipeline to a distributed, event-driven system using Golang, significantly improving the software's installation speed. I excel in designing and deploying microservices and APIs, leveraging tools like Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform to optimize cloud infrastructure, and ensuring seamless integrations with platforms such as Salesforce and Incident.io. My deep expertise in AWS, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps best practices allows me to deliver successful backend solutions in fast-paced, high-stakes environments.
Public Speaking

Public Speaking

While studying at Harvard, I attended the public speaking course (EXPOS 40) offered at the university and received an A for an outstanding performance during class and my final speech. During my time in the class, I was taught about the different forms of persuasion and posture employed by various speakers from throughout time, and my performance was judged based on my daily execution of speeches for an entire semester. Furthermore, I was chosen amongst my Harvard Class of 2018 peers to speak during Commencement/graduation, where I gave a resounding speech to a crowd of graduates and their friends and families that reminisced about our time in school. The speech lasted 10 minutes and there were 2 rounds of tryouts before a speaker was chosen.
Saxophone

Saxophone

I have actively played the alto saxophone for over 11 years at all levels, including middle school symphonic bands, high school marching bands, college marching/symphonic bands, and professional orchestras. During these years, I have mastered various orchestra and jazz scales that allow me to showcase the breadth of genres that the saxophone can showcase. At Harvard University, I was a member of the Harvard University Band and symphonic bands. While in these bands, I took ownership of various solos, compositions, and musical segments as the lead alto saxophone in the band. While in the band, I was a lead alto saxophonist in the jazz band, with which I performed at various jazz clubs throughout Boston and Cambridge, MA. Furthermore, I was the Drum Major of my >150 classmate marching band, which required trying out for the position and showcasing the highest level of musicianship amongst my fellow bandmates.
