About Kara

Bio

I am a graduate with a Master's of Chemical Engineering degree from the University of Louisville in Kentucky. During my years there, I graded math tests in the engineering school ranging from pre-calculus to Calculus 1-3 as well as the higher courses of Differential Equations and Numerical Methods. I also provided tutoring in those classes. I was a teaching assistant in an introductory engineering class. I have also done a course in cadet teaching in which I taught math to 5th graders. I...

I believe there is more than one way to explain math concepts so that if a student doesn't grasp the way it is presented in class, I can find an alternate way of explaining it. Math doesn't have to be the daunting subject many think it is; it can even be fun!
