Patient and Kind Math Teacher

I am currently a middle school math teacher in Atascadero, California. I have taught Algebra, 7th, and 8th grade math for 2 decades. I also coach our middle school's math club. My MathCounts Club has competed for years in our local chapter regularly winning trophies. Last year I had 8th grade students win first and second places! In addition, my students commonly show growth in their state test scores. I am a successful math teacher.

I have taught students of various ages in many different subjects. I have previously taught Algebra 1 at the high school level. I have tutored for Algebra 2 and Geometry, too. I have also taught 5th and 6th grade math for five years. I have taught GED classes, too. I am a very experienced teacher.

I have found my passion. I love to watch people reach their goals and accomplish things that were once difficult for them. It is truly an honor to be a small part of their journey. I understand the learning process quite well and can help students reach their goals. Every person can learn. I truly believe that! The process is different for each person. The job of the teacher/ tutor is to help the student understand their process. I have honed my skills over the years to do just this.
