Hi! My name is Sam Ward, and I bring years of experience in debate coaching, public speaking, and leadership training. I’m passionate about helping students build confidence, critical thinking, and effective communication skills that empower them both in and out of the classroom.

I studied at Providence College, where I competed as a debater, honing my skills in argumentation, research, and presentation. I also pursued graduate coursework in education at Johns Hopkins University, where I focused on strategies for differentiating instruction to meet the unique needs of every learner. This training allows me to adapt my methods to different learning styles and provide personalized, supportive instruction.

Over the past several years, I’ve coached middle and high school students in a variety of settings, from virtual classrooms and workshops to one-on-one sessions. My approach is interactive and tailored: I break down complex skills into clear steps, model techniques, and provide scaffolded support that builds both confidence and competence. I also use tools like video feedback to help students measure growth and celebrate progress over time.

Whether your student is a beginner just finding their voice or an advanced speaker preparing for competition, I can help them reach their goals with personalized instruction. I look forward to working with you!
