I’ve been tutoring for over five years, 3 of which has been as a volunteer with my university, and I really enjoy helping others feel more confident and capable in their classes. I work mostly with biology, writing, and general academic skills like studying, time management, navigating college life and other essential life skills.
I started tutoring in high school by helping classmates and younger students. Most of my tutoring has been one-on-one, either in person or online, my goal is always to make learning something less overwhelming and teaching students how to handle their workload efficiently. I know how stressful school can be, so I focus on making things clearer and more manageable while also teaching powerful learning strategies to help them in the future.
I have classroom experience working with both middle and high school students through the NAU teach program. I work as an Americorps SI leader for biology which helps to mentor students in the classroom with guided mentorship throughout the semester. I am also currently obtaining a NTA certification for tutoring. I am a huge nerd and love working with passionate students who are hungry to learn new things and improve their knowledge.
