I bring a strong mix of technical expertise and creative practice to my tutoring. My career began in manufacturing, where I worked extensively with CAD/CAM software and CNC machining processes. Using Autodesk Fusion 360, I gained experience designing precise parts, developing tool paths, and translating digital concepts into real-world production. This background gave me a deep understanding of 3D modeling, engineering design, and the importance of accuracy and problem-solving in professional environments.

Building on that foundation, I am pursuing an undergraduate degree in animation at Full Sail University. My studies focus on Maya, ZBrush, Substance Painter, and real-time rendering pipelines. I have developed skills in character and environment modeling, PBR workflows, and map baking, giving me a solid understanding of the tools and methods used in animation and game development. This combination of industrial and artistic experience allows me to teach not only how to use software, but also why certain approaches work, connecting creative design with technical application.

I have worked with learners ranging from beginners to more advanced students who want to refine their workflows. My tutoring approach is hands-on and flexible—I adjust each session to fit the student’s goals and pace. I focus on breaking down complex software into approachable steps while encouraging experimentation and problem-solving. I also provide constructive feedback to help students gain confidence and independence with the tools. Whether you want to design mechanical models, sculpt organic characters, or prepare assets for animation, I can guide you through the process with practical strategies that make learning both accessible and rewarding.

Animation

Animation

I am currently seeking an undergraduate degree in Animations with Full Sail University. I'll be graduating soon and moving on to pursue a master's in Game Dev. Through my studies and portfolio classes with Full Sail I've become proficient in basic animations using Maya. I have much to learn but also feel like I have enough time animated in Maya that I could be helpful to someone who is struggling with the basics like block outs, strong posing, and efficiently using the graph editor to your advantage.
AutoCAD

AutoCAD

I have over ten years experience designing and teaching in Fusion 360. I have a manufacturing background using Fusion to prototype and export code. I've had several successful students that have gone on to take what I teach them and apply it to their own designs. I also have knowledge and expertise on using Fusion 360 to render, draw tech plans, and create machine specific toolpaths.
Autodesk Maya

Autodesk Maya

I am currently seeking an undergraduate degree in Computer Animations with Full Sail University. I spend approx. 30 hours a week working in Maya on various student and personal portfolio projects. Over the past few years I have gained an extraordinary amount of knowledge and information in the assets production pipeline such as lighting, PBR workflow, high poly baking and rendering. I have enough working knowledge of the software and workflows associated with it, that I feel I could be of some benefit to someone in need of some guidance.

very helpful

I learned some tricks of geometry modeling I didn't know. Very patient but also moved fast enough that we got stuff done

Excellent First Session!

Jason listened. He absorbed my challenge as I shared with him my reason for wanting to learn Fusion 360. Looking forward to the second lesson with Jason soon.

Knowledgeable and patient tutor

Jason was a big help in fast tracking my learning curve. Is he knowledgeable, professional, and patient. I had many things wrong with my own drawings and he helped solve and teach me how to fix them in Fusion 360. I would recommend him to others and I will be taking more lessons to help pass my classes.

Great Experience

Jason was patient and had a great approach to teaching. Willing to answer questions along way but keeping us on track at the same time. He listened to my unique needs and approached his lesson in a way that I could apply it to my use case for learning this software. Thanks for the lesson Jason!
