Coucou, je m’appelle Delaney ! I graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Foreign Language (concentration in French) and a double minor in Linguistics and Psychology from the University of South Alabama. I also completed the undergraduate research requirements for the honors program (earning the Excellence in Research award for my class), the TESL/TEFL (Teaching English as a Second/Foreign Language) Certificate, and the Global Engagement Certificate. Currently I am pursuing my Master’s in Counseling (with a focus in Clinical Mental Health) at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.
I have several years' experience working in childcare and educational contexts in a volunteer capacity, including in church settings as a teacher and as an online tutor for disadvantaged students (where I tutored elementary- to high-school-aged students for a total of 140 hours in Wilmer Hall’s Children’s Home, through Education4Life). I have also tutored privately for several years, including tutoring a high school student with inattentive-type ADHD and auditory processing disorder in a variety of subjects (Spanish, English, Math, etc.) for three years, tutoring an elementary-aged girl in French for two years, and working on campus at USA as the French tutor at the Language Resource Center for two years.
While I specialize in tutoring French, I am flexible to tutor in a variety of subjects to a variety of age groups. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions or would like to schedule a lesson! à bientôt !
