He kept a good balance of instruction and practice, and came to sessions prepared with what to talk about based upon the last session, which definitely made it more productive. Dave is also willing to go above and beyond the session time if there are any loose ends--at one point he sent me a two-page long solution to a problem that we had not had time to finish. Finally, I contacted Dave on short notice and he was readily available and easy to get a hold of/schedule a time with.
He has an excellent knowledge of mathematics, which thoroughly impressed me, and helped with my learning of just not differential equations, but concepts in calculus and algebra too. I also appreciated Eugene's attitude towards teaching and his determination to helping me succeed as much as possible. I highly recommend Eugene to anyone who is struggling in math, I had a great experience working with him and believe others will have the same.
James is able to teach entire graduate engineering math classes with ease and can figure out virtually any problem! There is nothing too difficult. He is great with classes containing ordinary differential equations, linear algebra, partial differential equations, Fourier analysis, and finite element analysis to name a few. He can make the most difficult problems understandable and explains them in a way that "makes sense". On time and pleasant to work with.
