I'm looking for a tutor for my son who is in 7th grade/13 years old. He has homework in reading, writing, math and kanji all in Japanese, of course. I would be looking for someone to help him and prepare him in the homework three times a week for two hours each. Afternoons between 4-6pm would be ideal on weekdays (T, W, TH or Fri) at a library in Arlington.

Our son is a Grade 4 student in a Grade 3 ELA class. He with paying attention and developing the executive functioning skills he needs to write and synthesize his thoughts. We are looking for someone to attend our son’s English class with him each school day from 9:45-10:30am in Waltham to quietly sit beside him and:
- Help him follow along with the teacher’s instructions
- Break down assignments into manageable steps
- Redirect his attention when he gets distracted
- Support him with reading, writing, and organization as needed
- Help him develop strategies that will improve his learning in the classroom
Depending on how it goes, we might consider pulling him out of class some days for one-on-one tutoring.
