Graduate school had gone swimmingly for me until that class. I was (am) an older adult, returning to school after many years, pursuing a degree to become a mental health counselor. I had not had a science class since 9th grade biology in the mid 1960s, and had struggled and failed at most high school math classes. Biobases as a class offered interesting material - at least, I could see how brain chemistry and the related material was important and pertinent to understanding mental health issues.

I'm a biochemistry major (pre-health) studying at the University of North Texas. As a pre-health student, my grades in all math and science related courses are extremely important in determining my admittance into medical school, Ph.D. programs, master degree in Physician Assistance etc. I’m a slightly older “Non-Traditional” student that decided to go back to school later in life to pursue a career in medicine having almost no background in the sciences. I knew I needed help, so I contacted Sidney.
Stephanie taught me so many concepts of nursing. We touched areas like medsurg, maternal newborn, mental health, pharmacology, community health. She is well-grounded in nursing. I would definitely recommend her to anyone. I hope to work with her again.
