I’d love to learn a bit more about your approach to English reading and writing for middle school students.
My son is currently in 5th grade and is doing quite well in grammar and writing according to his English teacher. He has written several essays, which I think are not bad, though I’m confident there is still room for improvement. He also reads a lot, but I feel that he mainly enjoys the story itself rather than engaging in deeper analysis.
I’m interested in working with someone who can help polish his English reading and writing skills, particularly by guiding him toward more analytical reading—such as annotating texts and thinking more critically about what he reads. I know the academic demands will increase significantly in 6th and 7th grade, and I’d like to help him build those skills early.
He currently attends a private school. I’d appreciate hearing more about how you work with students at this stage and whether your approach might be a good fit for him.
Thank you,
Keke
