I’m currently a first-track nursing student taking Pathopharmacology, and after performing poorly on my first exam, I realized I need additional guidance to navigate this course successfully. Unfortunately, my professor doesn’t provide study guides, and we aren’t given the opportunity to review which questions we answered incorrectly after exams.
The course is extremely textbook-heavy, and I’m struggling to find an effective way to break down the material, understand disease processes, and connect them to the medications used to treat them. I’m hoping to develop a stronger understanding of the content rather than simply memorizing information for exams.
I’m interested in having two tutoring sessions per week, if that’s feasible with your schedule. I’m hoping you can help me connect these imperative concepts to disease processes and real-life situations you encounter on your floor. I want to not only know this information but also understand how to apply it to patient care. My goal is to have this knowledge as a tool in my back pocket—something I genuinely understand and can carry with me throughout nursing school and into my professional career.
I’m willing to put in the work and want to build a solid foundation that will help me become a knowledgeable and competent nurse. Please let me know if this is something you would be open to. Thank you for your time and consideration!
