After 1 month, he has improved his writing from about 6 sentences to 1 to 1.5 page length with a good flow and he is becoming less reliant on Laurie. Gary asked me to submit one or more samples of writing before the class so that he knows where I am at. It worked well. We edited/rewrote my writing during the first part of the class. In the second part of the class, he talked about the rhythm of the writing, mixing long and short sentences to make writing flow better and introduced the concept of writing style. I am confident that over time I will see noticeable improvements by working with him.
