I graduated from Providence High School in Burbank, CA with a 4.3 cumulative GPA. Upon graduation, I went to UCLA, where I majored in History and finished with a cumulative GPA of 3.74, good for Cum Laude honors, and a GPA of 3.8 for my major. I am currently attending Loyola Law School and hope to become a practicing attorney in a few short years. While academics have always been an important part of my life, I have made sure to incorporate extra-curricular activities to keep my mind sharp in all phases of life. I have been an avid snowboarder and guitar player for roughly the past 10 years, and since 1991 I have been a member of a Boy Scout troop in Pasadena, where I received my Eagle Scout in 2002. I have been tutoring students in all subjects ranging from Math to English to Science to Music since my freshman year of high school, in 1999. I like to give my students opportunities to learn material by themselves without giving them all the answers up front. I feel that students will feel more confident about the material if they know that they have the ability, which many do, to understand the information without as much help as they thought they needed at first. I try to combine both a laid back yet strict teaching atmosphere; I want the student to know that he or she can feel comfortable around me, but not to the degree that they stop working. Studying should not be a dreary, frightening prospect and I try to help students come to that realization too!
