Hello! I'm a working actress/mom of two young boys who has tutored K-6th grade in all subjects for 2 years as well as tutoring High School students in the Verbal portion of the SAT. I received my B.S. in Psychology from the University of Washington and plan on pursuing my Masters in Counseling in the near future. As a running and weight-lifting enthusiast (ran a marathon and have competed in power lifting on a national level), I believe in goal setting and can apply this to studying. I believe strongly in assessing a student's learning style (visual, auditory, or kinesthetic) and teaching them in a way they can learn best. I really enjoy tutoring and provide energy and enthusiasm for learning. I live in the Queen Anne area of Seattle and would like to work as close to home as possible.   I feel I am qualified to list personal training as one of my subjects due to the following: I received my ACE certification in November 2008. One is also required to have completed CPR and ADF training to be certified. I have been weightlifting and running for the last 20 years. Some highlights during these years were running cross country for the University of Washington and Powerlifting on a national level.   I tutored as a volunteer for 2 years for students in K - 6th in all subjects: math, reading, spelling, vocabulary, science, grammar, health, etc. I really enjoy working with this age group and saw improvements in the children that I worked with.
