Dedicated teacher who retired in June; specializing in 4th, 5th, and 6th grade communications, social studies, grammar, literature and writing skills. I hold a NC Teaching certification, and am also certified as a Junior Great Books instructor. I am very active in my community, and compassionate about being a local historian. Reading children's novels is a favorite pastime. I have taught novels as literature through a literacy block environment in the Cabarrus County Schools for 28 years.
