My name is Tyler, and tutoring experience is something I place great value in. Though I am keeping my options open, I believe that becoming a professor is the path that I am currently walking as I seek a B.S. in physics, so teaching will likely be a part of my life for years to come. I have experience in collegiate mathematics, physics, and Japanese, and also can offer assistance in economics, philosophy, elementary level subjects, and SAT prep. I am a student, yes, but first and foremost, I'm an older brother, and have been helping my sister in her weaker subjects to the extent of my abilities. I believe that if I can do the same for others, it would be all the better. As a tutor, I would seek to establish not only test-taking abilities, but also a deeper level of understanding. In this way, they will develop a strong foundation upon which to build their knowledge even further. Without this foundation, their knowledge structure will crumble all too quickly, and school will become an obstacle, rather than an ally. In addition, I would be sure to refresh my knowledge on the specific material before each session, in order to make sure that I can provide the highest quality of tutelage. If the student is willing to put in the effort to learn, then I will guide them towards the better grades they no doubt seek.
