My name is Jeanne K and I live in Warwick with my husband and two sons. I taught for the New York City Board of Education for eight years and started my teaching career in a Catholic school while earning my Masters degree with a major in education from St. John's University. I have taken a few years off from teaching to raise my sons and am now substituting for teachers throughout the Warwick Valley Central School District on a daily basis. I am a certified teacher in New York State and earned my Bachelor's degree with a major in education and a minor in mathematics from St. John's University. Currently, I am preparing to take the exam that will certify me to teach math to students in grades 9 to 12 in New York State. I am confident that I will be an asset to your child in furthering his or her math education, especially because I am studying algebra, geometry, trigonometry, pre-calculus and statistics daily, both for my upcoming exam and to remain familiar and confident with these higher level topics with which many students struggle. I can teach your child by working hard, being patient, helping him or her arrive at solutions through many different methods, and giving him or her excellent techniques that I feel will have a lasting effect on him or her. Thank you for your time and best wishes to your child in all of his or her future endeavors.
