Hi! My name is Sam.

I'm a recent graduate from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where I studied screenwriting, comics, and animation. I'm an aspiring animator, author, and teacher.

I have experience with many methods of animation, including traditional, stop-motion, and computer (AfterEffects, Photoshop, some Flash and Maya). I have experience writing feature-length and short-form screenplays. I've studied storyboarding and shot composition. I have taken numerous art history courses, especially in the area of comics and graphic novels. Before art school, I spent two years as an English Lit and Writing major, so I have knowledge of the history of English literature, grammar, and prose writing.

I've worked as an editing intern for a major publishing company as well as a professional comic artist for SAIC.

I'm friendly, hard-working, and am constantly learning. I'm looking forward to the opportunity to meet new people and help them reach their potential.

Drawing

I trained at The School of The Art Institute of Chicago, where I got my BFA in Animation. I work primarily as an independent comic artist, drawing on my storyboarding and screenwriting background in order to tell what I hope to be compelling but lighthearted stories.
