Hi! I’m Sophia, a current MD student at Feinberg School of Medicine and a Northwestern alum. I graduated summa cum laude with honors in Biology and received the Irving Klotz Prize for Basic Research for my honors thesis. I was also selected to carry the Biology banner at graduation in recognition of my academic achievement. During my junior year, I was accepted into Feinberg through Northwestern’s Premedical Scholars Program.
I’ve spent years immersed in the medical school application process, both as an applicant and as someone who has supported others through it. My experience spans building a strong pre-med foundation, identifying meaningful clinical and research opportunities, and crafting personal statements, activity descriptions, secondary essays, and interview preparation. Having gone through the process myself and helped friends successfully navigate it, I understand how overwhelming and high-stakes it can feel, and how much clarity and support can make a difference. I love seeing the students I’ve advised receive their acceptances.
I specialize in personal statement editing, application strategy, activity descriptions, interview preparation, and individualized advising for pre-med and medical school applicants. I also work with college applicants, though my primary focus is guiding students through the medical school path.
Beyond academics, I’ve served as a teaching assistant, student leader, and mentor across multiple organizations, including pre-med advising groups and leadership roles at Northwestern and Chicago-based organizations. My approach focuses not just on helping students present themselves well on paper, but on helping them articulate their story in a way that is authentic, compelling, and true to who they are.
Whether you’re preparing for medical school applications, refining your personal statement, getting ready for interviews, or navigating your next steps as a pre-med student, I’d love to help you build an application that feels both strong and true to you.
