Teaching is my passion! I am a certified teacher working on a Master's degree in Education. I have many years experience teaching children of all ages from Pre-K to tutoring writing to college students. I am experienced in teaching all aspects of elementary school; Science, English, Reading, Writing, and History in middle grades and high school. Children all learn in different ways. I employ many different teaching methods in my lessons. I make my lessons enjoyable but also filled with helpful strategies on how to learn and retain the information!

Elementary (K-6th)

I am a certified teacher in grades pre-k through 6th grade. I have taught reading, phonics, math, science, history and writing all along this grade spectrum. I have been very successful in making interesting, and knowledgeable plans for my students. These plans have helped my students to excel or improve, if they were below grade level.

Phonics

As a certified Early Childhood teacher, I have learned many different ways to teach phonics. These ways make the learning of phonics fun for the student. I use different types of phonic hands-on-activities which help to immerse the students in phonics and instill in them a love of reading.

Study Skills

I have helped many students to learn effective study skills. Proper note taking, reading your notes on a cassette player and listening to them daily, make a chart, these are just a few of the many study skills that I can teach a student.

For a group of four people, my rate is $75 for a 1 hour lesson. If someone would like to sign up for multiple lessons, I would give them a discount off of my hourly price.
