During that time, I have also done much electrical engineering tutoring, science tutoring, and math college placement test tutoring. I have even done basic college math teaching for four semesters. Hi, I'm Gregory! I'm a professional math tutor with nine years' experience. During that time, I have also done much electrical engineering tutoring, science tutoring, and math college placement test tutoring. I have even done basic college math teaching for four semesters. I have also written tutorials for various math subjects that troubled students so that they could have help when a tutor was not available.

I started work as a professional tutor after I graduated Virginia Tech in Spring 2013 with my B.S. in Mathematics. I also had three years of undergraduate electrical engineering coursework when I got my degree. When I started work, I was uncertain what I wanted to do for a career. Many ideas came and went, but my work-study experience tutoring at New River Community College prior to my time at Virginia Tech stuck with me. Nothing was more satisfying than to break down a problem and see something that a student struggled with become simple. After graduating, I went back to New River Community College to see if I could keep doing tutoring and found out that I could do it professionally, not just for work-study. I have been a professional tutor ever since.

One of my strengths as a math tutor is my ability to teach it and to teach it simply. I can not only do the problem, but I can break it down into steps and delve into why we have the steps and why they are done the way they are. I know the content well enough to be in-depth, and I can apply it in a simple fashion. It is this kind of knowledge that I've seen help students stop struggling with problems. Besides that strength, another one of my strengths is boldness. Even if I have not seen the content before, I know enough to try messing with it instead of being scared off. This is how I became good at tutoring statistics, and I have helped many students in that subject and many others just because I was bold enough to try.

He takes the time to show you the easier way for your homework so you’re not stuck pulling your hair out, plus he’s incredibly funny. Knows Prob and Stat like it’s the back of his hand, I was able to understand all of my material in under the hour I booked with him
