I have a huge passion for both teaching and learning; it is true that my students are often my best teachers. I have been clinically trained to teach students of various ages and learning abilities, and I am happy to adapt my teaching style and pace to meet each student's needs, regardless of where they are "supposed to be." I am also a Registered Yoga Teacher and Holistic Nutritionist. My career has spanned the areas of scientific research and data analysis to community health outreach and marketing; consequently I am qualified to teach a variety of subjects including, health, yoga, elementary science, reading/writing/comprehension, grammar, phonics, nutrition, and bio-statistics (including SAS - Statistical Analysis Software). Reading

I am clinically trained to help children thrive in the areas of spelling, writing and reading comprehension. I have worked with children of all ages and with varying reading capacities, including those with autism and ADD/ADHD. I have also worked with adults whose native language is not English.

I hold a masters degree in Epidemiology & Biostatistics and have five years of experience in health research, which has included working as a researcher in the Bionutrition Research Lab at Children's National Medical Center, serving as the Lab Manager of the Adult Research Lab at Towson University and working as Associate Staff Scientist at Life Sciences Research Organization. My research findings and analysis have been published in two scientific journals.

I have a masters degree in public health and my research thesis was based on the nutritional intake of children with type 1 diabetes. I worked for nearly four years in nutritional research and I am a certified holistic nutritionist.

I have a masters degree in public health and am a strong proponent of physical fitness. As a child, I participated in volley ball, soccer, baseball, gymnastics, color guard, dance (tap, ballet, and jazz); and I was a long-distance runner for many years throughout high school, college and graduate school.
